1. By attending the event and/or purchasing a ticket, you accept these terms and conditions.
2. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated at any time without notice. The current version will be available on the charltonbells.co.uk website, and the date of the last update will be displayed at the top.
3. Ticket types
A Day Ticket entitles you to ring at all the towers participating in the open day, subject to the Open Day Rules and Etiquette available on charltonbells.co.uk. A Record Attempt ticket is for ringing at Charlton only. You may alternatively pay per tower if you only intend to visit a few towers.
4. Refunds
The ticket is non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the event, you may transfer your ticket to someone else.
5. Changes or Cancellation
If the event is cancelled in its entirety due to unforeseen circumstances, the ticket will be refunded in full, but no further compensation will be provided. There will be no refund or compensation if the towers participating in the open day change.
6. Photography
Photographs and video may be taken during the event and used for promotional and other purposes. If you do not consent to being photographed and filmed, and to your likeness being used for the above purposes, it is your responsibility to inform the organisers and photographers on the day.
7. Health and Safety
Ringing is an inherently dangerous activity, especially if proper technique and best practices are not followed. Participants must be experienced ringers who are aware of the risks and able to handle a bell safely, or must be accompanied by an experienced tutor.
8. Safeguarding
Children and young people must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a responsible adult. Please refer to the safeguarding policy of the Gloucester & Bristol Diocesan Association of Church Bell Ringers (https://www.bellsgandb.org.uk/pdf/SafeguardingPolicy.pdf) and contact the safeguarding officer (sgo@bellsgandb.org.uk) with any concerns.
9. Time Keeping
Please be at the village hall 30 minutes prior to your bell ringing slot to prevent any delays in handovers.
